Don't Know...HENRY KING?
You really should know who HENRY KING (1886-1982) is! Henry King was a top-flight director whose career spanned the years from 1915 to 1962.
A fine place to start is by viewing: Captain From Castile (1947). King directs Tyrone Power in this epic film of Cortez's expedition in Mexico.
See that and pay attention to the following four films:
Twelve O'Clock High (1949) Gregory Peck excels in the story of the stress of command in wartime.
The Gunfighter (1950) King again directs Gregory Peck in a mature Western that refuses to glamorize the life of a professional gunman.
Tol'able David (1921) A classic silent film of life in the mountains with Richard Barthelmess and Ernest Torrence.
The White Sister (1923) Another silent classic with Lillian Gish and Ronald Colman.
