Vivacious Lady (1938) This comedy costars Jimmy Stewart. Beula Bondi plays Stewart's mom and is wonderful when she does the Big Apple dance!
I'll Be Seeing You (1944) Costars Joseph Cotton. Ginger plays a convict out on parole, touching story.
Having Wonderful Time (1938) Another comedy which costars Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. Ginger goes on vacation, watch for Ann Miller among the campers!
Top Hat (1935) This musical costars Fred Astaire. I love all of the Roger/Astaire movies but this is my favorite one. You can't beat songs like "Cheek to Cheek", "Top Hat", and "White Tie and Tails"! Lucy Ball is the flower shop girl.

An all-time favorite film of mine is Bachelor Mother (1939) which stars Ginger and David Niven. It is a wonderful romantic comedy. She plays Polly Parrish, a clerk in a department store who is mistaken for the mother of a foundling. On Christmas eve, the very day she receives a pink slip that she no longer has a job post Christmas, she sees a woman place a baby on the foundling home's doorstep and ring the bell. Afraid the baby will roll down the stairs, she picks up the little bundle and the foundling home directors, answering the door, believe Polly is the baby's mother. She cannot convince them otherwise. David Niven plays David Merlin (the son) of John Merlin and Son's Department Store, whom the foundling home directors convince to give Polly her job back, so she can keep her baby.The story is true comedy of errors at its best.

Hello,
I am enjoying your blog but how do you view older posts and comments?
Also I have 'The Major And The Minor' at the top of my Netflix queue as I have never saw it along with some of the other Ginger Rogers films you have recommended. I have only really seen her in the musicals so I am looking forward to seeing them. Thank you.

Thanks John for your comment. I also have Netflix. Netflix is a great way to introduce yourself to classics that you haven't that viewed, suggested on this blog. There are so many wonderful older films yet to discover.
