HANK WORDEN?

Hank Worden

HANK WORDEN (1901-1992), born Norton Earl Worden

Former cowboy and rodeo rider who started in films in 1936.

The Searchers (1941)Haven't you seen The Searchers (1956)? His portrayal of Mose, the old scout, is impressive and touching. This was his first "Big" role in a major film after 20 years in the business, usually in bits.

Watch this and then see these other four films.

The Big Sky (1952) Splendid film about Mountain Men from the novel by A. B. Guthrie.
Wagon Master (1950) Hank was swiftly becoming a John Ford favorite.
The Alamo (1960) Another big role for Hank. Here he portrayed The Parson, one of Crockett's Tennesseans.
The Horse Soldiers (1959) Here he is a scout for the Duke's Yankee cavalry.
