Katie Connolly's COMEDY CHOICES

Bringing up Baby

TWENTY CLASSIC COMEDIES FROM A.F.I'S NOMINEES

I looked at AFI's 100 Years 100 Laughs nominees and picked out my twenty classic comedy favorites (released prior to 1972). Many tough choices had to be made. I had twenty-eight that were my favorites, then had to eliminate eight.

  2. Arsenic and Old Lace (1944)
  3. The Awful Truth (1937)
  4. Bringing Up Baby (1938)
  5. Duck Soup (1933)
  6. Father of The Bride (1950)
  7. Harvey (1950)
  8. His Girl Friday (1940)
  9. Modern Times (1936)
  10. My Man Godfrey (1936)
  11. A Night at the Opera (1935)
  12. The Philadelphia Story (1940)
  13. Pride and Prejudice (1940)
  14. A Shot in the Dark (1964)
  15. Singin' in the Rain (1952)
  16. Some Like It Hot (1959)
  17. The Thin Man (1934)
