ROBERT TAYLOR?
ROBERT TAYLOR (1911-1969), born Spangler Arlington Brugh
Taylor was kidded about his overly good (is that possible?) looks and undervalued as an actor. So he starred in films for 30+ years, married Barbara Stanwyck, and didn't sweat it.
Haven't you seen Johnny Eager (1942)? Super film noir. With Lana Turner and his mustache.
Watch this and then see these other four films.
Camille (1936) One of the most romantic films of all time. With Greta Garbo and no mustache.
Waterloo Bridge (1940) Beautiful love story. With Vivien Leigh and his mustache.
Magnificent Obsession (1935) The first film version...and the best. With Irene Dunne and no mustache.
Quo Vadis (1951) A gran'daddy of Biblical epics. With Deborah Kerr and no mustache.

You're so right about Taylor's "Magnificent Obsession" being the best. It was the film that shot him to stardom.
