THELMA RITTER?
THELMA RITTER (1905-1969)
One of my favorite actresses. If her name's on a movie, it's worth watching. Sez I...and so say many others, borne out by multiple Oscar nominations (six of them).
Haven't you seen All About Eve (1950)? "What a story! Everything but the bloodhounds snapping at her rear end!"
Watch this and then see these other four films.
A Letter to Three Wives (1949) "Soup's on."
Pickup on South Street (1953) "Even in our crummy line of business you gotta draw the line somewhere."
Pillow Talk (1959) "If there's anything worse than a woman living alone, it's a woman saying she likes it."
Rear Window (1954) "Intelligence. Nothing has caused the human race so much trouble as intelligence."

I'm so happy to see someone made a Thelma Ritter showcase. I've always loved her. I'm dying to see everything she's ever made. So far, my favorite has been The Mating Season. Have you seen this one?

Thelma is beautiful in The Mating Season (even the orchestra is beautiful!). And while we're at it, let's also specially recommend The Misfits (1961), The Model and the Marriage Broker (1951), With a Song in My Heart (1952), and Birdman of Alcatraz (1962).
