S.Z. SAKALL?

S.Z. Sakall

S.Z. SAKALL (1884-1955), born Gerõ Jenõ in Budapest, Hungary

Affectionately known as Cuddles to all those who worked with him, knew him, and loved him in his many roles on the screen.

Tea For Two (1950)Haven't you seen Tea For Two (1950)? Cuddles was one of Doris Day's favorite people and like this she made several others with him. He played J. Maxwell Bloomhaus.

Watch this and then see these other four films.

Christmas in Connecticut (1945) This is my favorite Cuddles film. He plays a wonderful chef and endearing friend named Felix Bassenak.
Ball Of Fire (1941) This is a great movie with Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck. Cuddles played Prof. Magenbruch.
In the Good Old Summertime (1949) In this musical remake of The Shop Around the Corner, he played shop owner Otto Oberkugen.
Casablanca (1942) Almost everyone has seen this film. He played Carl.
