DON KNOTTS?

Don Knotts

Don Knotts (1924-2006), born Jesse Donald Knotts, is best known for the role he portrayed on "The Andy Griffith Show", that of Sheriff Taylor's cousin and sidekick, Deputy Barney Fife. Don Knotts, however, made several wonderful comedy films, as well.

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966)Haven't you seen The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966)? I'm not a horror fan and I love funny movies like this one, good family fun. I like watching every Halloween.

Watch this and then see these other four films.

No Time For Sergeants (1958) Here's a film you can see both Don Knotts and Andy Griffith before they teamed up to make The Andy Griffith Show. It's one of my favorite comedies. I've broken out in a hearty laugh in the same places for years.
The Reluctant Astronaut (1967) This is my favorite of the Don Knotts films where Don has the leading role.
The Incredible Mr. Limpet (1964) This is mostly an animated feature. It begins as a live-action film and evolves into an animated feature. Mr. Limpet plays a man who wishes he was a fish, only to become one. Don Knotts does the voice of "Limpet" throughout the film.
The Shakiest Gun in the West (1968) Don is wonderful in this film and it demonstates his comic genius. It's nice that he made light-hearted family films.
