BILLIE DOVE?

Billie Dove

BILLIE DOVE (1903-1997), born Lillian Bohny, was the leading lady of the silents who gave up films after she had a part sabotaged by William R. Hearst, because she outshone Marian Davies.

The Black Pirate (1926)
Haven't you seen The Black Pirate (1926)? Billie is excellent in this delightful Douglas Fairbanks swashbuckler.

Watch this and then see these other four films.

Wanderer Of The Wasteland (1924) Jack Holt costarred in several Zane Grey adaptations With Billie. This was the first Western filmed in color and is considered a lost film.
Madness Of Youth (1923) Billie costars with John Gilbert.
Kid Boots (1926) Here she costars with Eddie Cantor and Clara Bow.
Sensation Seekers (1927) UCLA has a print of this film.
