EDWARD PLATT?

EDWARD PLATT (1916-1974), best known for his role as The Chief in the TV series "Get Smart", had a long career in film and television. Earlier he appeared in numerous plays and musicals.

The Shrike (1955) Platt recreated his role from the play. It was his first major film role.
Rebel Without A Cause (1955) Platt plays Ray Fremick in the cult classic.
Omar Khyyam (1957) Good score by Victor Young, but this movie was pretty awful, yet fun to watch. Platt survived it nicely.
They Came To Cordura (1959) Platt was featured in one of Gary Cooper's final films.
