Please Don't Forget...ALEC B. FRANCIS!

Alec B. Francis

ALEC B. FRANCIS (1867-1934)
His career ran from 1911 until his death in 1934. He often played distinguished gentlemen. He appeared in at least 240 films.

When I think of Alec B. Francis, I cherish his work in the following:

Outward Bound (1930)
Outward Bound (1930)
Outward Bound (1930) Alec played Scrubby, the steward of a mysterious ship whose passengers don't know where they are going. It is a very effective film, quite eerie, much better than Warner's glitzy remake Between Two Worlds.
Robin Hood (1912) Here he was the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Tramp, Tramp, Tramp (1926) This Harry Langdon comedy is available on DVD.
The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow (1912) Francis is Ichabod Crane.
Oliver Twist (1933) Alec is Mr. Brownlow, Oliver's grandfather.
