The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947) Poster
All of the films recommended here are listed in the order I originally saw them. A fine place to start is by viewing the film I saw first: The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947). I was very happy when Twentieth Century Fox released this film in their Fox Studio Classics collection. I watch it again and again. Joseph L. Mankiewicz directed this fine film.

Watch this and then see these other four films.

Guys and Dolls (1955) He directed and wrote the screenplay.
People Will Talk (1951) He directed and wrote screenplay.
All About Eve (1950) He directed and wrote the screenplay.
A Letter to Three Wives (1949) He directed and co-wrote the adaptation.
