Who Are...ABBOTT AND COSTELLO?

Abbott and Costello

You really should know who ABBOTT AND COSTELLO are! Bud Abbott (1895-1974), born William Alexander Abbott, and Lou Costello (1906-1959), born Louis Francis Cristillo, are without a doubt, the best comedy team captured on celluloid from the 1940s.

Bud Abbott Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948)A fine place to start is by viewing: Bud Abbott Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948)? The boys at their best in the "Meet" series of films. And it also had Lugosi, Strange, Price, and Chaney, Jr.

See that and watch them in the following:

One Night in the Tropics (1940) While not the stars, this introduced the boys to film.
Abbott and Costello Meet the Keystone Cops (1949)
Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1953) They played well with Boris Karloff
Jack and the Beanstalk (1952) This one is a lark, if you can find it. I found it to be entertaining. Also had Glenn Strange in it.
