PETER LAWFORD?

Peter Lawford

PETER LAWFORD (1923-1984), born Peter Sidney Ernest Aylen Lawford

From child star in England to British Light Leading Man - in Hollywood from 1938.

Easter Parade (1948)
Haven't you seen Easter Parade (1948)? This is a wonderful Irving Berlin musical that also stars Judy Garland, Fred Astaire and Ann Miller. Lawford plays Jonathan Harrow III.

Watch this and then see these other four films.

The White Cliffs of Dover (1944) This film goes from World War I on to World War II. Peter Lawford's character John Ashwood II is played by Roddy McDowell as a boy. This film sports a wonderful cast that includes ten-year-old Elizabeth Taylor, Irene Dunne as Susan Dunn Ashwood, Alan Marshal as Sir John Ashwood, Frank Morgan, Dame May Whitty, C. Aubrey Smith, Gladys Cooper, Van Johnson and June Lockhart, among others.
Little Women (1949) You can't go wrong with Little Women, but Peter Lawford as Laurie is truly my favorite Laurie Laurence.
Royal Wedding (1952) In this musical, romantic comedy Lawford plays Lord John Brindale in love with Ellen Bowen (Jane Powell), sister of Tom Bowen (Fred Astaire). It's a delightful film.
The April Fools (1969) This romance has a wonderful cast that also stars Jack Lemmon and Catherine Deneuve.
