WHAT MAKES A MOVIE A CLASSIC:
A classic film is one like Casablanca, which is well directed, well acted, stays with you throughout your lifetime and has a good moral lesson to make you a better person.
FAVORITE MOVIES: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954), Brigadoon (1954), Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice (1995), Sense and Sensibility (1995), Anne of Green Gables (1985), Anne of Avonlea (1987), My Dream is Yours (1949), On Moonlight Bay (1951), By the Light of the Silvery Moon (1953)....
FAVORITE ACTORS/ACTRESSES: Henry Fonda, Gordon MacRae, Howard Keel, Barbra Streisand, Jane Powell... (Notice all singers, except Henry.)
TESTIMONY: The movies in this day and age fall far from the mark made by movies in the past. I think a lot of the reasons the current movies will not be selected over and over like the classics are because the values expressed in new movies don't have positive values expressed and the language is nothing to want your children to hear.
