INTERESTS: Besides watching the classics on Turner Classic Movies and The Wizard of OzAmerican Movie Classics, I enjoy watching classic and wholesome TV on Nick At Nite, TV Land and the Odyssey Channel, collecting modern and antique postcards, teaching myself to sew children's clothing, playing piano, reading, listening to music, surfing the Internet, shopping, and most recently, collecting vintage 8x10 photos of classic stars.

MOVIE MEMORABILIA: Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of memorabilia due to my meager budget, but I do have a small collection of vintage 8x10 photos of some of my favorite classic stars. I eventually hope to have matching autographs to go with each photo so I can mount them all in a special album. I also own a few pieces of vintage movie sheet music.

FAVORITE MOVIES: In no particular order, The Sound Of Music (1965), My Fair Lady (1964), The Wizard Of Oz (1939), Gone With The Wind (1939), My Man Godfrey (1936), The Band Wagon (1953), Stage Door (1937), An American In Paris (1951), Singin' In the Rain (1952), Meet Me In St. Louis (1944), Cabin In The Sky (1943), The Human Comedy (1943), Breakfast At Tiffany's (1961), Smilin' Through (1932), The Women (1939), My Favorite Wife (1940), Tales Of Manhattan (1942), The Trouble With Angels (1966), The Music Man (1962), Easter Parade (1948), The Shop Around the Corner (1940), Miracle On 34th Street (1947), It's A Wonderful Life (1946), Mr. Hobbs Takes A Vacation (1962), Pollyanna (1960), The Parent Trap (1961), The Awful Truth (1937), among many others :)

FAVORITE ACTORS/ACTRESSES: In no particular order, Cary Grant, Deborah Kerr, Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy, James Stewart, Myrna Loy, William Powell, Carole Lombard, Norma Shearer, Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Audrey Hepburn, Errol Flynn, Shirley Temple, Margaret O'Brien, William Holden, Ann Sheridan, Katharine Hepburn, Lucille Ball, Hayley Mills, John Barrymore, Lionel Barrymore, Herbert Marshall, Deanna Durbin, Judy Garland, Olivia de Havilland, Mickey Rooney, Ruth Hussey, Gail Patrick, among many others.

TESTIMONY: My interest in the classics began as a small child when I used to watch some of the better known MGM musicals with my mother on late night television as she was an avid fan and knew a lot about the classic actors/actresses that starred in them. This interest was further cultivated when I discovered American Movie Classics in 1993, and then eventually Turner Classic Movies a few years later. But I guess the greatest influence on my love for the classics has to be my experiences watching them on the big screen at the Stanford Theater in Palo Alto, California which is reputed to be one of the best classic movie theaters in the U.S.A.
